Sandra and Alberto welcome you with a warm welcome to the Bed & Breakfast Villa I Ciliegi The Villa is located in a very quiet area, completely surrounded by greenery and a short distance from the town center, in the beautiful mountain resort of Castagno D'Andrea [ 725m ] in the municipality of San Godenzo, province of Florence. Castagno, located on the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines, is the gateway to the "National Park of Mount Falterona, Campigna and Foreste Casentinesi" that welcomes those in search of the mountain and nature with the Park Visitor Center, the result of the fusion of historical evidence, cultural and natural territory. In the village, surrounded by large chestnut groves, pine woods, firs, oaks, hornbeams, hazelnuts and beech trees rich in mushrooms, you can visit the Church of San Martino, where a fresco by Pietro Annigoni is preserved, and donated to the village of Castagno. Nature lovers can enjoy long excursions, on foot or by mountain bike, on the Falterona mountains [ 1654m ], Falco [ 1658m ] and Acuto, from whose peaks you can admire a unique landscape from the Adriatic Sea to the Tyrrhenian Sea. From the Fonte del Borbotto, where there is a picnic area, the most popular paths start in the Florentine part of the National Park: on the right the path goes towards Gorganera, Crocicchie, Capo d'Arno and Lago degli Idoli, leads directly to Mount Falterona and left towards Piancancelli, Monte Falco and the ski fields of Fangacci and Burraia.
