The guesthouse Mamma Serena is a cozy and delightful two-level house, a small and ancient nineteenth-century residence in typical Tuscan style. It is characterized by the reserved and quiet environment, ideal for those who want to spend a few days of relaxation and full comfort. The structure is located in the historic center of Vicchio, next to the walls of 1200, still partially visible, destroyed along with the ancient towers during the terrible earthquake of 1919, today only the tower of Cerchiai visible from Piazza della Vittoria remains. Mamma Serena has spacious and comfortable rooms, 2 double rooms, 1 single room, 2 bathrooms, characterized by a simple but very functional and equipped with the best comforts, including: kitchenette, washing machine, dishwasher, wifi. Vicchio was the birthplace of the two painters who made great figurative art in Humanism and the Renaissance, Giotto and Beato Angelico. From Vicchio a few minutes drive you can visit the house of Giotto on the hill of Vespignano, the bridge to Ragnaia, on which it is said that the meeting between Cimabue and the young Giotto, the house of Benvenuto Cellini, the Beato Angelico Museum and the important Etruscan excavations of Poggio Colla, led by some American Universities under the direction of Professor Gregory Warden.
